Whittingham Asylum - 07th April 2007

Whittingham Asylum is now earmarked for re-development starting in 2008. Much has changed in the year or so since my last visit. Floors are much more dangerous with many of them fallen through completely. Vandalism and thieving from the site has also left it in quite a sorry state recently. However there is still much to see in this vast site. Still one of the finest examples of a Victorian Asylum. It's days are numbered though so many more visits are planned during this summer.
